• NIM configuration (creating SPOT resources etc.)

• Sound understanding of AIX LVM and device configuration

• File system management (Mirroring, NFS)

• Basic performance tuning activities (kernel, system, memory etc.)

• p4/p5 LPAR Management (LPAR/DLPAR concepts, operation)

• HMC Management (profile creation, activation, backup)

• Knowledge on advanced power virtualization (micro partitioning, Virtual IO Server)

• Exposure to pSeries hardware &  problem identification/resolution.

• High level experience in Shell script

• User account management using commands/SMIT

• Installing AIX OS via CD/NIM

• Installing AIX APARS & Fix packs

• Configuring basic AIX OS (Ex Network, hostname, nfs, name resolution, etc.)

• Experience/knowledge about LVM

• AIX trouble shooting experience

• Experience in mksysb backup & native unix backup tools

• Knowledge about ODM

• Basic experience in Shell Scripts.
