Roles & Responsibilities :
Customer Focus
• Provide a professional, prompt and high level of technical support to all problems assigned.
• Maintain high level of customer satisfaction.
• Understand all Tier II & III procedures and rules of conduct.
• Make follow up calls to customers on outstanding issues within 24 hours - ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and confirm problem resolution on all issues.
• Escalate customer inquiries to Team Manager and/or Manager as required to ensure problem resolution in a timely manner.
Skills/technologies required :
• Expert knowledge of all versions of Sun Solaris Unix 8.0,9.x
• Good and hands-on knowledge of Veritas Cluster Service (VCS) and Veritas Volume Manager (VxVM)
• Working knowledge of - MS Word, Excel, Internet Explorer
• Sun Certification preferred
• PC skills – Windows, Word, Excel
• Good analytical skills
• Should be flexile for working in the 24 X 7 environment.
