Work Content & Responsibilities :

• Engineering Graduate/ Diploma with minimum 5+ years of experience in routing technologies like MPLS, BGP, OSPF, & also exposure to the configuration of QoS technologies. Minimum entry externally recognized qualification for the Engineering role is CCNP/CCIP level.

• Working as an individual and as part of a team deploying logical changes to the customer networks.

• Ability to produce technical documentation, along with liaising with third parties and internal groups to schedule and support changes within agreed time scales arranged with the customer.

• Responsible for technical validation of the solution, updates to AT&T internal databases, planning and preparation of migration plans for cut-over to the AT&T service.

• Customer facing activities include verifying technical requirements, migration technical planning & scheduling, joint AT&T and customer migration and testing.

Required technical skills :

• Network protocols: BGP, OSPF, RIP, EIGRP, MPLS etc

• IP and Data Routing Technology and Policies

• Network design

• IP sub-netting

• Security: NAT configuration, Proxy server, and Firewalls

• WAN technologies: Frame Relay, DSL, ATM, Ethernet, ISDN, POS etc

• Others: QoS, Multicast, VOIP, SNA, Crossover service (SXO), PVC/VRF-lite, etc

Required Soft skills :

• Strong communication skills in English, both written & verbal.

• Good Analytical Skills & prominent team player.

• Ability to handle Crisis situations with customer & better stress management.

• Respond to the customer/team’s requirement to work on flexible hours

• Extend the supporting hand as & when customer needs network changes on priority.

• Flexible to support customers in different time zones.

• Readiness to migrations and changes in the evenings and at weekends.
