Job Description :

Major Tasks Team 'DB2 support CDC'

• Problem Management

Identify and resolve restricted database objects, Analyse and fix DB2 problems in the testenvironment, Provide DB2 backup instructions and utilities, Perform database recoveries, Provide standby duty 5x18 hr (Hotline &  On Call), Escalate application availability issues

• Change Management (Order processing & ad-hoc requests)

• DB Changes, DDL Promotion, Data Transfer, Data Moves, Data Correction, Provide Shadow Databases on request, Perform Post-Installation Checks, Database migrations

• Run different Utilities like REORG, RUNSTAT, LOAD, UNLOAD, BACKUP, REPAIR, RECOVER on all DB2 databases and keep monitoring the DB2 performance on the system.

• Diagnosis the dead lock situation if any and terminate utility to complete particular DB2 related task/Job.

• Stop/Start Database or table space if required. Allocate spaces to Table spaces in case of space requirement and partition table spaces for smooth functioning of different Utilities and avoid abends.
