Development Credit Bank Jobs - Portfolio Manager SME Bangalore

Job Description

1) Account Monitoring: A portfolio manager should review the account conduct of the customers assigned to him/her. PM has to monitor transaction in the account. All large transaction, non-business transaction should be viewed upon seriously and customer should be engaged to obtain clarifications on the same.

2) EWS: PM is responsible of keeping a close watch on customer business function, account conduct and macro-economic indicators affecting clients business. These indicators are significant EWS triggers. PM should not only monitor these but also escalate to appropriate authorities for further action.

3) Renewal of Accounts: Out of the list of accounts being handled by him he needs to ascertain the accounts which are nearing for renewal or already expired and communicate the same to customer for getting the accounts renewed on time.

4) Enhancement: A customer would require an enhancement at the time of renewal or at the time during the year. The portfolio manager needs to understand the requirements of the customer, his account performance and his business condition and propose the same for enhancement.

5) Adhoc Request: There would be time when customer would require additional funds for short time as he would be expecting some consignment form his buyers for which he needs to make payments. Then a portfolio manager would request the credit team to sanction an adhoc limits based on the information provided by the customer.

6) Delinquent Accounts (incl. NPA accounts): The portfolio manager needs to look for his customers accounts should not slip into NPA. He should ensure that when the account slips into bucket 1 (i.e. DPD 1 to DPD 30) he contacts customer and take necessary steps to recover money.

7) Periodical Inspection: Every portfolio manager needs to ensure that he visits his customers once in a quarter and discuss with him his requirements including 3rd party products, banking services and any issues in operating the account. He should be vigilant on his surroundings at customer place and look for his business activity based on his experience he needs to prepare a customer visit report

8) Tracking of stock statements: If the limit has been sent on the book debts or stock then portfolio manager should track these customers and get the stock statement on time before the account hits delinquency

9) Cross sell of 3rd Party products or other assets products: As these customers are already into established business they would be having multiple financial requirements
