Job Description :
o Hands-on experience in black box testing.
o Able to understand the architecture, high level design and come up with use cases, execute test cases and also follow-up the issues with development teams.
o Well versed with Testing life cycle and bug tracking tools.
o Strong debugging or troubleshooting and collaboration skills.
o Good communication skills to work across groups and locations, and to be ready to travel to other locations, if required.
o To be open for both Manual and Automated testing
o Flexible to work under various testing environments
o Work independently, motivate self and peers.
o Capable of designing long-term and short term stability test scenarios.
• Domain Knowledge – Added advantage
o Good knowledge on IP systems – with hands on experience on switches/routers
o Knowledge of OSI stack protocols like IGMP, ARP, TCP/IP, UDP, ATM. ARP, FDDI etc.,
o CCNA certification
o Familiar with testing of IP based video broadcasting devices, IP Gateways, Modems
o Knowledge of cable systems, and DVB & MPEG standards
o Scripting knowledge - Perl/Python with automation of test cases
o Able to think of areas in manual test that can be automated and proactively automate test cases with scripting based tools
